Seeds, Rootstocks & BreedingHow can pruning labor be included in selecting a compact mango rootstock?
Measure the time and work needed to maintain the intended canopy, alongside production and tree health. Similar final sizes may conceal very different pruning requirements. Record the operations rather than inferring labor savings from a compact photograph. A candidate's value depends on usable output and the effort needed to sustain its form under the proposed orchard system.
