Orchard & Commercial GrowingWhy should missed mango scouting visits be recorded instead of leaving blank rows?
A blank can mean no problem was found, no visit occurred, or the record was lost. Mark missed observations explicitly and preserve the reason when known. This prevents apparent pest-free periods from being treated as measured results. It also helps the manager judge whether changing trends reflect actual crop conditions or gaps in the monitoring service.
