Frequency and severity answer different commercial questions. A defect may occur in many fruit but affect little tissue, or occur rarely with substantial internal damage. Record both under an agreed method and retain representative cut photographs. This supports a clearer decision about intended use than one broad percentage whose denominator and meaning are uncertain.
