Predictions can track the general range while retaining bias or substantial scatter around individual reference values. Mango calibration studies report error measures alongside correlation. Review those errors relative to the decision being made, particularly near an acceptance boundary. A visually convincing trend line does not establish that each fruit's predicted value is sufficiently accurate for its intended use.
