Fruit left in contact with a wash or de-sapping solution may receive a different exposure from the normal moving line. Government mango research identifies contact time as relevant to skin blemishes. Have a defined response for stopped fruit and assess affected lots. Restarting the conveyor does not make the extra exposure disappear from their handling history.
