Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Flowering & PollinationWhy is my mango tree flowering but not fruiting?

A mango can flower heavily yet retain little fruit because most flowers do not become mature mangoes, even in a normal crop. Poor pollen transfer, rain or cold during bloom, anthracnose or powdery mildew, and stress during early fruit set can reduce retention further. Check whether tiny fruit ever formed, inspect panicles for damage, and compare the bloom period with recent weather. A second tree or extra fertilizer is not an automatic cure; identify whether the problem is pollination, damaged flowers, or fruit dropping after set.
