Fruit Development, Ripening & HarvestWhy are my mangoes falling off the tree?
Some mango fruit drop is normal as the tree sheds excess young fruitlets. Heavier-than-usual loss can also follow poor fertilization, water stress, damaged roots, severe weather, pests, or disease. Look at the size and condition of the fallen fruit and whether losses began just after flowering or much later. Keep moisture reasonably steady without waterlogging, inspect the canopy and fruit for damage, and avoid applying extra fertilizer as a reflex response to every dropped mango.
