Pests, Diseases & DisordersWhy does my mango tree have black spots?
Black marks on a mango are not all the same problem. A sooty coating over sticky leaves suggests honeydew and sap-feeding insects, whereas spots within leaf tissue or enlarging fruit lesions may involve disease; sap injury can also darken fruit skin. Record which plant parts are affected and whether marks wipe off or extend into damaged tissue. Clear photographs of both sides of leaves, flowers, and fruit help distinguish causes. Do not select a fungicide simply from the color black.
