Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Pests, Diseases & DisordersWhat is anthracnose on mango?

Anthracnose is a fungal disease that can damage mango flowers, leaves, shoots, and fruit. Dark lesions, damaged bloom, and fruit decay that becomes obvious during ripening are common warning signs, especially where wet conditions favor infection. Other injuries can look similar, so a dark mark alone is not proof. Good light, a manageable canopy, sanitation, and avoiding unnecessary wetting of flowers and foliage can help reduce favorable conditions; obtain local guidance for a confirmed disease problem rather than guessing at chemical rates.
