Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Getting StartedShould I buy a grafted mango tree or grow a seedling?

For a first backyard fruit tree, a correctly labeled grafted mango usually offers a more predictable variety identity and cropping outlook than an untested seedling. A seedling can still be a rewarding low-cost experiment or useful rootstock, but its future fruit and time to flowering are less certain. Inspect the nursery tree's roots, graft union, health, and suitability for your climate before buying. A larger or already fruiting tree is not automatically the best-established or easiest option.
